Question 1

How does HowdyPay work?

Accepted Answer

HowdyPay is a payment management platform designed for companies with distributed teams. You onboard your contractors, set up contracts, and process payments — all from a single dashboard. Each contractor receives a digital wallet where they can track earnings and request withdrawals using their preferred method.

Question 2

Is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Every new company gets a 15-day free trial to explore the platform. No credit card required. When you're ready, your Business plan activates at $29 per contractor per month.

Question 3

How are contractors charged?

Accepted Answer

Contractors are completely free — they pay nothing. All plan costs are charged to the company. Each contractor automatically gets a free digital wallet to receive payments, view their earnings, and make withdrawals.

Question 4

What payment methods do you support for withdrawals?

Accepted Answer

We support Payoneer, bank transfers, and internal HowdyPay transfers. Contractors can set up their preferred withdrawal method in their account settings. Available methods may vary by country.

Question 5

Can I change my plan later?

Accepted Answer

Business is the only paid plan, at $29 per contractor per month. “Started” is the 15-day free trial every new company begins on, not a separate tier — when it ends, Business activates. You can manage your add-ons at any time from the Subscription page in your dashboard.

Question 6

Is my data secure?

Accepted Answer

Security is our top priority. All transactions are encrypted, we maintain detailed audit trails, and we comply with applicable financial regulations. Enterprise plans include advanced security features like dedicated infrastructure and custom compliance reporting.

Question 7

What kind of support do I get?

Accepted Answer

The Business plan includes priority support with fast response times. All customers have access to our support team and guided onboarding.

Question 8

Is HowdyPay really free for individuals?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Creating a wallet and receiving payments is completely free. You only pay small provider fees when withdrawing funds to external accounts (Payoneer, bank transfer). HowdyPay-to-HowdyPay transfers are always free.

Question 9

How do I receive payments?

Accepted Answer

Your employer or client adds you as a contractor on HowdyPay and processes payments directly to your wallet. You don't need to do anything — funds appear in your wallet automatically.

Question 10

How do I withdraw my money?

Accepted Answer

Go to the Withdrawals page, add your preferred withdrawal method (Payoneer, bank account, or HowdyPay transfer), and request a withdrawal from your available balance. Processing times vary by provider.

Question 11

What withdrawal methods are available?

Accepted Answer

We support Payoneer, bank transfers, and instant HowdyPay-to-HowdyPay transfers. Available methods may vary by country. You can set up multiple methods and choose which one to use for each withdrawal.

Question 12

Is my money safe?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. All transactions are encrypted, we support two-factor authentication (including passkeys), and we maintain detailed audit trails. Your account security is our top priority.

Question 13

Can I use HowdyPay with multiple companies?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can receive payments from multiple companies into the same wallet. Each company sets up their own contract and payment schedule with you, and all funds go to your single HowdyPay wallet.

Question 14

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Simply create a free account. Once your employer adds you as a contractor on HowdyPay, you'll start receiving payments directly to your wallet. You can also set up your withdrawal methods in advance.
